The contact point distributes information about using health care services in Finland and abroad, the right to medical care in different situations, reimbursement of costs and the European medical prescription. The contact point does not receive or process applications.

Kela, the Social Insurance Institution of Finland

Kela manages the basic security of people living in Finland and abroad in different life situations. The social security managed by Kela includes benefits for families with children, health insurance, rehabilitation, basic security for the unemployed, housing allowance, student financial aid and minimum pensions. Kela is also responsible for disability benefits, conscript’s allowance and benefits for immigrants.
